About Me

I am Gulshan Oriakhel, Trained Integrative Trauma informed Psychotherapist

and Counsellor specialized in working with individual adults and

young people. I have a degree in Psychology, Professional

Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a registered member

of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

(BACP).  Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own.

You might be the person others rely on. The one who keeps going, even when things feel overwhelming underneath. Or perhaps you’ve been carrying something for a long time — anxiety, low mood, past experiences — and you’re not quite sure how to move forward.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

My Approach

I’m an integrative, trauma-informed therapist, which means I look at the whole of your experience, not just what’s happening now, but the patterns and experiences that may sit underneath it. I’m based in London, UK , offering online therapy for adults and young people across the UK and abroad.

Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from different evidence-based therapies to support you in a way that feels right for you.

Our work together is collaborative and paced around you. There’s no pressure to open up all at once. We go at a speed that feels safe and manageable.

I draw from the following evidence based approaches to meet your needs.

- Person Centred Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Gestalt Therapy
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Existentialism

- Solution Focused

Mindfulness

Sessions are available online, allowing you to access support wherever you are in the UK, from the comfort of your own space.

What to Expect

Sessions are a space for you to talk openly, without judgement.

Together, we will:

  • Explore what’s bringing you to therapy

  • Understand patterns and underlying causes

  • Work towards meaningful, lasting change

There is no pressure to have everything figured out.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Weekly or fortnightly sessions can be booked from one week to the next. Both short
and long term therapy is offered. In the first session we will also look at the
counselling agreement which will outline what is expected from both therapist and
client in terms of attendance and cancellations.
