About Me

Welcome, I am Gulshan a trained Integrative Psychotherapist

and Counsellor specialized in working with individual adults and

adolescents. I have a degree in Psychology, Professional

Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a registered member

of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

(BACP), therefore, I strictly abide by their ethical framework
and code of conduct. I have experience of supporting clients

with a range of emotional difficulties, across different ages,

ethnic and cultural identities and professions. 
incorporate skills and techniques from different modalities to

suit my clients individualized therapeutic needs.

What You can Expect From Psychotherapy?

 


As therapist I believe that you are the expert of your life and the therapist (Me) is the
facilitator of your therapeutic journey who will provide you with a trusting, confidential and
safe space where you can explore aspects of your inner/external world for better
understanding and work together to bring about positive changes to enable you to live a
more fulfilling life. Embarking on this therapeutic journey can offer you with inner peace
that will allow you to explore and process your emotions where you will feel heard,
understood and not judged, such understanding can facilitate self-acceptance, growth, self-
development and resilience. The confidential sessions will also enable you to explore and
understand how you relate to yourself, others and the wider world in your social and
cultural context. The aim of my therapeutic sessions is that we work together to find what
works best for you at your pace and to create an environment where you feel free, safe and
comfortable to discover your true self. I will use different approaches and techniques to

help you increase your self-awareness, gain a greater understanding of your thoughts,
emotions, behaviours and how they affect you and your relationships.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?


Weekly or fortnightly sessions can be booked from one week to the next. Both short
and long term therapy is offered. In the first session we will also look at the
counselling agreement which will outline what is expected from both therapist and
client in terms of attendance and cancellations.
